Who we are

Bid IQ Auto (bidiqauto.ca) is a valuation and max-bid tool for car dealers and wholesalers, based in Calgary, Alberta.

What we collect

• Account info: your name, email, business and phone if you give them to us (for example on the early-access form).
• What you enter: VINs, kilometres, condition grades, bids, deals, sale prices, buyer contacts and your settings (fees, recon, profit targets).
• From the browser extension: when you click Bid IQ or Best Buys on an auction listing page you have open, the extension reads that page's vehicle details (year, make, model, trim, VIN, kilometres, grade, current bid and time left) and sends them to Bid IQ to calculate your max bid. It does not read other websites, your browsing history, passwords or payment information.
• Photos you upload for VIN reading or damage estimates.

How we use it

Only to run Bid IQ: calculate values and max bids, save your deals, show your accuracy, and improve our estimates. Vehicle details are processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) to produce valuations. Your deals and buyers are private to your account.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't use it for advertising. We don't share your deals or buyer list with other dealers. We may use combined, anonymized vehicle data (with no dealer or customer identified) to improve valuations.

Where it's stored

Your data is stored with Supabase (Canada Central region) and the app runs on Vercel. The extension stores a short-lived cache of results in your browser so repeat lookups are fast.

Your choices

You can ask us to export or delete your account and data at any time. Uninstalling the extension stops it from reading any page.
